Rene Marie Russo was an American film director, actor, and supermodel. Rene Marie Russo, born in the United States, is an actress, filmmaker and a former supermodel. She is known for her elegant beauty. The longevity of her career in the film industry illustrates her ability as a performer. In the 70s, she began modeling and soon became a notable actor in the field. As early as the 1990s, she began studying acting and theatre. Then in Los Angeles and California she was the first to appear on stage. Russo was first seen on screen in ABCs drama series Sable in 1987 portraying the role of Eden Kendell. She was Tom Berengers' love interest the following year on Major League, her debut film. Her consistent performance won the hearts of critics who were hesitant about her acting talents. Her early days were spent as an amateur boxer who participated in regional competitions before joining Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she joined The Ultimate Fighting Championships. Since her joining of the UFC the fighter has quickly become a household name due to her success inside and outside of the octagon. Namajunas was a Lithuanian who immigrated to the United States. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Rose played basketball and kickboxing while growing up. She first made it to the ring as a professional fighter at 18 years old for Invicta Fighting Championships, where she took home two fights via submission. The fights caught the eye of Dana White who signed her for UFC s strawweight division in December of 2014 when she was only 22. Rose's professional career has experienced extremes, as well as lows, yet she is always in a position to emerge from it on top. Rose was a fighter against Carla Esparza in April 2015 in the Women's Strawweight Title. The fight was won with a technical knockout just three minutes after the start of the round. It was the first ever women to compete for a title title with any of the major promotions in the world.
